We are planning a destination wedding. Do we have to pay for our bridal party’s airfare?
Answer:
Destination weddings are definitely more popular now and normally have a smaller bridal party and guest list. It is not required of you to pay for your bridal party’s airfare. If you asked someone to be a bridesmaid or groomsman and they can’t afford the trip, they can respectfully decline. After they’ve declined, you can decide whether or not you would like to help them or not. Remember though, if you are paying for one and not another to keep that on the quiet side. You may hurt someone’s feelings for not offering it to one.
