- Look through their portfolio – Looking through their portfolio will give you great ideas for designs and give you a better understanding of your coordinator’s design style.
- Ask questions – Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
- Go with your gut – This is important. You should definitely feel like the planner gets you.

With an Elegant Dinner Party
St. Patrick’s Day is quickly approaching and now is the time to plan the greenest St. Patrick’s Day party of them all! What do you do that hasn’t been done before?
- Create a beautiful tablescape – First, define your colors. Emerald or mint would look nice with a neutral color. Next, talk with your florist to find the right centerpiece that will truly make a statement. It would be great to feature a cream arrangement to add a variation against the green. However, it may also be unique to feature beautiful greenery as well down the table. Don’t forget about the accessories too.
- For the “lucky” food – Of course, go with an Irish themed menu. What do you serve? Consider serving stout braised short ribs, cottage pie, Irish lamb stew, apple mash, cabbage, cream de menthe brownies, Irish soda bread and corned beef hash. An easier route would be to contact your local caterer, they would know all the right foods to serve.
