Wedding Wednesday – Guest List

Your Wedding Wednesday Question

How do we start figuring out a guest list amount? Which family gets the most guests? And if needed,  what’s the best way to shorten a long guest list? Since the bride’s family is usually the ones footing the bill, should we start cutting from the groom’s guest list?

Answer:

To build a guest list with some kind of strategy, combine four different lists; the bride’s, the groom’s and each of their parents guest that they would like to invite. For each of them to create their individual guest lists here are 3 lists to keep in mind; a “must”, a “like”, and a “can” list. That means people that Must be there, Would like to be there, and Can be there. These lists will help when cutting the guest list as well.
