Buying gifts for your groomsmen can be one of the hardest decisions you have to make as the groom. That's because, like with any gift-giving scenario, you want to select gifts that hold a special meaning for the people you are gifting.
If you're having trouble deciding what kinds of gifts you should get for your best bros, here's a list of awesome gifts that are sure to please any groomsman.
A Special Memory
If you've selected specific guys to be your groomsmen, then you surely have a special connection with them and have shared many important moments together. One of the best ways to show your groomsmen that you appreciate their friendship is to get them a gift that brings back those special memories.
This could be something related to a funny moment that you shared together, or even tough times that you helped each other get through.
The thing about a special memory gift is that it doesn't have to expensive or lavish; as long as the gift has meaning to it, your buddy is sure to appreciate it.
Outdoor Gear
Do you have a groomsman that's outdoorsy, and loves to go hunting, fishing, camping, or kayaking? Then you can't go wrong with outdoor gear for them.
For the outdoor gift to be successful, you would have to first know what type of outdoorsy person your groomsman is, and what they love to do.
For the fisherman, a new set of fishing jigs or tackle box is a good idea. For the camper in your life, check out gifts like a new camp hatchet, camping knives, or a field guide for identifying edible plants, nuts, etc.
Liquor
Getting our groomsman liquor is an age-old tradition and is probably one of the most common types of groomsmen gifts.
Do you know what types of liquor they love? Whiskey? Vodka? Rum?
There's no easier gift to get than a bottle of their favorite liquor. And to complement the gift, you can also get them some drinking accessories to go with it, such as a personalized flask, shot glasses, snifters, and more.
Accessories
If you want to go for gifts that are a little bit more on the pricey side, than accessories, such as matching watches, cufflinks, or ties, are a good idea.
As a groomsman for one of my best friend's wedding a few years ago, he got the other groomsmen and me in the wedding party superhero-themed cufflinks with the superheroes' emblems on them.
It was the perfect gift not only for the cool, geeky aspect of it but also as something that we could use in the future whenever we wanted to add a bit of flair to our fancy apparel.
Whatever you decide to get your groomsmen, make sure you put some thought and effort into the gifts. Nothing says you care about and appreciate your best friends in life than a gift that is meaningful, and useful, to them!
