Your magical day is almost here, and we know you have a thousand images in your mind of what your wedding day might look like, not knowing exactly what to expect. Well, we’ve talked to the experts—brides! And they’ve told us some things you should know about your wedding day.
You won't remember half the day.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again—your wedding day will be an out-of-body experience. Make the most of every moment, because about 50% of it will get lost in the surrealness of the craziest day of your life!
You’re going to want some time alone.
With all the social time you’ll get with friends and family on your wedding day, you’re going to want some time alone with your new spouse. So we say, “Schedule it in!” Add spaces in the wedding day timeline that make for the perfect alone time. You’re going to need it!
Your legs will be sore.
Pack some ibuprofen in your emergency kit, because your legs will be mad at you for all the dancing you’ll be doing! If you have a heavy dress, you can expect to be sore from that too. Get some good workouts in before the big day to minimize the pain, and drink lots of water—you’ll be glad you did!
Your ceremony will feel like a dream.
If there’s one thing you won’t remember about your wedding day, it’s definitely the ceremony! It’s such a crazy experience that will go by so fast. We recommend re-reading your vows to your partner in private afterwards, because realizing you just got married pretty much takes over your brain during the moment!
Trust us, you won’t want all the details!
If you know everything that’s supposed to happen, exactly when it’s supposed to happen, you’re going to be stressed and disappointed. Things never go as planned on your wedding day, and that’s okay! The more you know, the more you’ll notice when something doesn’t go as planned. You’ll have friends and family there that will make sure your day is perfect. So sit back and enjoy the beauty of it all because everything happens for a reason!
