Although your wedding day will be the most magical day of your life, there are a few things to plan for when it comes to all the special moments. Here are some things to think about when your big day is approaching!
It’s an Out-of-Body Experience
When we say magical, we mean it! Your wedding day will be such a dream, so SAVE EVERYTHING! Write down your vows, take lots of pictures, take moments to stop and reflect, and enjoy instead of stress. The next day is the perfect time to read your vows to your significant other again to remind yourself of how beautiful it was—because you’ll probably forget!
You Will Have Social Overload
It’s amazing having all your friends and family there to celebrate you and your spouse, but there’s a 100% chance that you will get tired of talking to everyone, and that’s OK! One of the best ways to avoid this is to schedule some time in your wedding timeline for you and your partner to be alone and enjoy each other. Take as many photos as you can before the ceremony so that you can use cocktail hour to enjoy yourselves!
No One Will See Your Shoes
Unless you’re wearing a short dress or pants, no one is going to see your shoes! Don’t take away the fun of dancing and having a good time with painful shoes. Wear something comfortable that you know you’ll be happy in all day and night! It’s not worth being uncomfortable when you’re experiencing those amazing moments with your partner.
Your First Dance Doesn’t Have to Be the Whole Song
Although the first dance is a special time, everything feels longer with all eyes on you. If you have a 4-minute first dance, it’s going to seem like 10. Give your DJ a nod when you and your significant other are done dancing and have them fade it out for the perfect finish!
You Don’t Need a 4-Hour Reception
One of the best parts of your wedding day is the grand exit, and you’ll want everyone there for it! If your reception is too long, you’ll notice lots of guests leaving. You’re going to want everyone to celebrate all the events with you like your bouquet or garter toss, cake cutting, and dreamy exit. You and your guests will be happy with a shorter reception that will allow them to experience everything with you! By the end of the night, you’ll be glad to have some alone time.
