I love it when brides and grooms think outside the box–or in this instance, the car. Here's what I mean: Most newly wedded couples leave their wedding reception in the traditional way–a decorated vehicle. But why not consider a few different ways of departing that are unique to the couple? Here are some ideas to get your creativity flowing. Obviously, for some of these, a tuxedo and wedding gown would not be in order!
* Motorcycles – put on your leather and hit the road on a Harley.
* Horse drawn Carriage – depart in romantic style using this old-fashioned mode of transportation.
* Helicopter – they can land anywhere, so take advantage of their versatility and high impact.
* Hot Air Balloon – go up, up, and away in a beautiful, dramatic balloon.
* Speedboat or Jet Ski – if your reception is near water, this would be the coolest way to leave. Swimsuits required, of course.
* Bicycle Built for Two – if you're into cycling, a tandem bike would be great gear for your getaway.
* Horses – re-create Runaway Bride into Runaway Together Bride & Groom.
* John Deere Tractor – if tractors are your thing, you can't beat a Deere!
Your final farewell to wedding guests should be unforgettable–not the status quo. Many couples use all their creativity for the wedding and wedding reception, but forget the last impression they leave. The departure is your final farewell to your guests, so leave them with something to talk about.
