I have always loved intimate weddings and wedding receptions, especially those where candles are used in the wedding and table decorations. Candles are very simple and inexpensive decorations which create, not only beautiful décor, but generate an atmosphere that no other resource can – the glow of romance. Magnificent wedding decorations can be effortlessly achieved by candles and flowers alone. There is nothing more beautiful than simplicity in my book and the combination of flowers and candles captures it perfectly.
Creating Simplistic Wedding Decorations With Flowers and Candles
Fresh greenery and candles create a natural air of romance ideal for wedding ceremonies and receptions. To create this air of romance, lined the aisle or walkways with long and low candelabras adorned with fresh flowers. At a wedding I attended, they create a natural aisle runner by making a blanket of beautiful fall colored leaves. It was breathtaking! At the alter, they used tall candelabras behind the wedding party which create just enough glow for beautiful pictures. The whole wedding ceremony was filled with the smell of fresh greens, the soft glow of candles and the romance of the day.
The wedding ceremony isn't the only place you can create this air of romance. To extend this romantic theme, wedding reception decorations can be assembled by grouping candles at the center of the tables in many different levels to produce a soft glow of light for seated guests. By adding groupings of fresh flowers in small vases or tall slender vases to the candles, you can create mesmerizing wedding table decorations. Just be sure that the flame of the flower centerpiece is not placed too close to anything flammable. We wouldn’t want a flaming table disaster as a wedding memory!
On your wedding day you will proclaim your love in front of family and friends. At the alter your heart will be overflowing with romantic thoughts. Let the romance you have float throughout the room to your wedding guests. Flowers and candles can help radiate the romance throughout the room effortlessly while you concentrate on the one you love most.
