Don't know if you've heard, but copper is the new trendy color for weddings. I saw a table setting done in copper and crystal and it was so glamorous and festive! It would look gorgeous for a wedding and reception. When I started thinking about it, the possibilities are endless!
Colors That Accent A Copper Wedding
Of course, you could do copper bridesmaid dresses, copper ties and vests, copper colored flowers, but you could also pair copper with just about any color. It would really set off lipstick pink, crimson red, sapphire blue, even black. If you didn't want to use copper everywhere, you could just use touches of copper throughout, like on the pew arrangements and as embellishments in bouquets and floral centerpieces. Even a copper handkerchief in the groomsmen's pockets would be a cool touch.
A Fabulous Copper Wedding Reception
The copper theme could easily be carried through to the wedding reception. A copper table runner on a crisp white tablecloth is an elegant way to begin. You could find copper fabric that could easily be made into runners if you can't find pre-made runners. Beaded copper placemats could be layered on top of the runner to be a base for centerpieces of white flowers in crystal vases.
Intersperse white votive candles throughout several flower arrangements for a dramatic effect. Again, pairing copper with other colors would add depth of color and pizazz to your wedding reception.
Copper is showing up everywhere — in fashion, in gift shops, in fabric stores. It's a neutral metallic color that will add POP to any color or look great all by itself. Consider using it for your wedding day and wedding reception.
