Is it okay to have a smaller wedding ceremony that includes our closest friends and family, yet have a larger reception that will include our extended family and friends?
Answer:
It is acceptable to have a smaller ceremony but larger reception. There is certain wording that you should place on the different types of wedding invitations you are sending out. Keep in mind though that some people actually might take offense of just being invited to the reception and not the ceremony. They might see it as why am I not important enough to be invited to the wedding ceremony. Also, before you make the final decision, ask yourself if you will regret it. You don’t want to look back and think that you should have just had everyone at your ceremony.
