I'm a bridesmaid for my very good friend, however, is it required to bring a gift to each bridal shower?

Answer:

Really, the bride should tell you beforehand that she wants you there, but a gift isn't necessary. However, if she hasn't told you this, it's still completely fine to show up empty handed. Or, if you feel bad showing up without a gift, split your gifts up. Maybe at one shower you can give her the plates she registered for and then at the next the bowls. Either way, both are completely acceptable.
