However, it may not be as important to them as it is to you. They have other things going on and may forget about all the little details that they have to do for your wedding. Wedding and Party Network has a few tips on letting your guests know what to expect come your wedding day.
Wedding Day Timeline
One month out – Send emails or "newsletters" keeping guests and your wedding party in the know about pre-wedding activities and wedding day activities.
Send an email out to your guests that outlines any wedding activities. You can even send them a calendar format or share a calendar with everyone online. If there are any pre-wedding activities, be sure to include that in there as well. Both your pre-wedding activities and wedding day timeline should all include dates, times, locations, dress code and whether cash is needed. Also, outline in detail what each wedding activity will consist of.
Two weeks out – Wedding day outline
This is the time to send a reminder email. Break it out for everyone including headers, sub headers and the details of the day. Tell them to print it out so they can have a schedule with them at all times. Give detailed descriptions. For example, Friday night is our rehearsal dinner at "restaurant name" at "time".
The dress code is casual or formal and they will serve some of our favorite foods and drinks. You can even include the menu or a link to the restaurant. If they need cash, state that they may need to pay for their drinks on their own or whatever it may be.
The week of – Send out the final details
This is the time to send out final details of the activities. Include directions, times they should be there, transportation and inform them about parking.
It's important to keep your wedding party informed, as well as guests who are invited to attend these events as well. Letting them know by email is a sure way that they'll remember and everything will go as planned.
