Weddings are full of tradition, and one of my favorite traditions is the gift from the bride to the groom. The groom searched weeks, maybe even months to find the ring to suit your delicate finger. The estimated prices of a ring are in the thousands, that’s a big gift to match. How can we compete with that? Our best bet is to find something from the heart that means more than money can buy. Stumped? Check out these smile creating, tear jerking and giggle induced gifts that are perfect for your groom.
- A Watch – Now, this may seem bland but it’s all in how you present it. My groom is pretty practical, so the mushy scrapbook I could make him would be looked at that day and then placed in a drawer. A watch with something engraved on the back of the timepiece is an essential to his wardrobe and a gift he could use every day. The engraving could say, “I love you every second, every hour, every day” or “See you at 7:30. Don’t be late.”
- Tickets to a Sporting Game after your Honeymoon – Men love sports. It’s in their DNA, I think. I can buy tickets to NFL or NBA game and suddenly be deemed BEST fiancée in all the land. If your guy loves sports, plan a day after your honeymoon to take him out. Don’t forget a cute, “Your game is over, but I still love you! ;)”
- Brief Case with Initials – Now, men do not normally go for monograms. I know, darn! If you have a businessman on your hands, a nice soft leather briefcase would be the perfect gift for this best dresser. There are plenty of manufacturers that will add their three initials to the top for security and it just looks more official. I bought one for my father for Christmas and we were both very impressed with the outcome.
Whatever you decide will come from the heart. Congratulations on your big day and further ventures as a married couple! There will be plenty more gifts to come.
