Here are five tips for hosting a brunch party. If you weren’t planning a brunch, you just might when you see how easy it is to throw an elegant brunch that your guests will love.
Keep it simple.
The event is special all on its own and doesn’t need a lot of extra fuss. Set up the party as a buffet and let everyone help themselves. Choose finger foods that can be made ahead and set it all up in advance. And remember, nothing has to match. Mixing things up is in and so is vintage, so if you have a white plate with pink roses and your dinner companion has a blue plate with a pattern, so much the better! Finish your look off with real cloth napkins (that also don’t have to match) and you’re nearly there. Add in flowers for life and color. Place buds of flowers in little creamers and tuck them in bare places or put one on each place setting; or put a bouquet in a favorite pitcher. You can even float a single rose inside a glass with the stem cut short. So, now that the stage is set, what will you offer your guests?
Mimosa's are a must.
As for drinks, mimosa’s for a brunch are a given. Mimosa’s are made by combining equal parts champagne and juice (typically a citrus juice, orange juice is probably the most widely used) and then are topped with fresh fruit. To make it a bar, simply provide different juices. Four that are sure to please are orange juice, limeade, raspberry lemonade, and pomegranate juice. To complement these sweet drinks, top it off with fresh fruit, like orange slices, lemon slices, raspberries, and cranberries. Guests can help themselves, picking out their favorite combination of juice and fruit and adding in that sparkling champagne. Try pink champagne for added color. It really is that easy-pour champagne, splash in some juice, and garnish it with fruit. Cheers!
Upcycle glass bottles.
For your non-mimosa drinkers, set out a couple of trays and offer milk and orange juice. Remember those Starbucks Frappuccino bottles you were saving for some reason? This is that reason! Fill up those bottles with the beverages and finish them off with striped straws. Put ice in the trays to keep them cool (or even snow if it’s handy).
Mini. Bundt. Cakes.
Need we say more? These delightful little desserts can be made in minutes and don’t even require extra decorating. You can make them from scratch, or from a cake mix (same goes with the icing) and they can be baked in a mini bundt cake pan which you can find about anywhere that sells pots and pans. They are rich and moist and already a great serving size. A dollop of icing on top finishes this cake off, though you don’t have to stop there. Fresh fruit is also a good garnish, chocolate chips sprinkled on top are great for chocolate cakes, lime slices for Mai Tai flavored cakes, or finish it off with toasted coconut, or even a simple dosing of powdered sugar.
Celebrate with Single Servings.
Individual servings are the way to go. Super easy, super cute. French toast sticks are a great example of serving for one. Find small glasses and fill them with maple syrup. Then, put a French toast stick in each glass. A great take away in a perfect portion size. Fruit skewers are another portion perfect way to serve fruit. Put fruit (any will do, but let us suggest strawberries, grapes and bananas) on a skewer and serve with a fruit dip made of cream cheese and a small container of marshmallow fluff. Smaller portions get that line moving faster and ensure that people won’t get a lot of extra food they won’t eat.
Make your table beautiful and bountiful with these tips. Enjoy!

I'm planning to host a brunch party at my house, which is why I'm currenlty looking for a Downtown cafe that would be able to cater to the said event. Of course, I'll also keep in mind to serve mimosas that are topped with fresh fruits. Your suggestion of offering Starbucks Frappuccino bottles to my guests seems like a great idea as well.
