The word February was actually derived from the Old Latin term, februarius, which means purification. There is a saying that surrounds this month, "dye it black or dye it white", which means it can either snow a lot or rain a lot. It also has only 29 days in the month, except for leap years. And is the only month that can go without having a full moon.
Horoscope Signs: The horoscope signs of this month are Aquarius, Pisces and according to the new zodiac calendar Capricorn is included in this too. Aquarius is represented by the water bearer and are great thinkers, active, high-strung and feel very deeply.

February's Birthstone: This beautiful birthstone is the amethyst. It captures a beautiful purple colored stone.
