It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas, and you know what that means? It's December and it's time to celebrate all your favorite December babies! If there's a month made for fun festivities, it's this month. So what are some of the best ways to celebrate December birthdays? Well, we put together a short list of some of our faves:
Cookies and Milk
Santa loves cookies and milk on Christmas Eve, so why not throw a cookies-and-milk-themed birthday party? Kids will have so much fun decorating Christmas cookies and eating them too! You can even trade out a birthday cake for a cookie cake and have the kids decorate that too. The possibilities are endless! Have some cookies set aside for them to decorate and save for Christmas Eve to give to Santa.
Ugly Christmas Sweater Party
This is a classic Christmas-themed party, but you can also make it the theme for someone's birthday. This is a great theme for adults because you can have some real fun with homemade ugly Christmas sweaters! Take the theme even further by having an ugly Christmas sweater cake. It might look ugly, but it'll taste fantastic. Amp up the party by having a contest to see who has the best sweater and let the birthday person choose the winner!
Winter Wonderland Pajama Party
This party theme will bring so much fun and joy for all ages! Have everyone dress up in their favorite cozy, warm pajamas to the party. For decorations, you can have a pillow pile-up with fuzzy blankets for everyone to hang out on. Also, have some cut-out snowflakes and Christmas lights hanging on the wall or ceiling to give it that extra special felling of winter wonder. You can have hot cocoa, cookies, and lighter snacks for food. For entertainment, make it a featured film kind of night and watch movies that have a wintery theme!
The Nutcracker
The Nutcracker has been a staple during the Christmas season. The ballet by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky is the most well-known version of this classic Christmas tale. Throwing this kind of party will bring the elegance and magic of the season! You can decorate with miniature nutcrackers and ballerinas from the dance and add some snowflakes and candy! For the birthday cake, you can make their favorite cake or theme it with a marzipan cake. For the big finale, watch The Nutcracker at home or head to the ballet!
