It's spring! The birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and we're all venturing out after a long winter. With parties to plan, you might not even consider that the weather can change at a moment's notice. The weather can become even more difficult to predict if your party is more than a few weeks away. Here are a few tips to help you with party planning, even with the chance of spring showers.
Have a backup plan.
While reserving two venues might not be an option, it is always a good idea to make sure you have an indoor space y
ou can move the party to in the event of bad weather. Garages make a great party space, or if your home is large enough, just move everything inside! Whatever you choose, always have a backup plan. A little rain might not hurt the party, but high winds, thunder, and lightning will make things unsafe.
Set up canopies or tents.
Has rain popped up in the forecast for the day of your event? Instead of moving it inside, set up tents or canopies instead! Just make sure to let your guests know so they can wear appropriate footwear.
Be prepared.
The best thing you can do in the event of a spring shower is to be prepared for anything. That could mean making last minute calls to your guests to let them know they should wear rain boots and ponchos, or canceling the party and rescheduling for another date.
