National Sandwich Day is November 3rd. This is also the birthday of John Montagu. This 18th century noble wanted to eat his meal with one hand, therefore, he instructed his servants to put his lunchmeat between two slices of bread. The sandwich was born. So, to commemorate this special occasion and his birthday it is declared National Sandwich Day. Wedding and Party Network has some great sandwiches to help celebrate this day.

Your favorite cheese – Gruyere, brie, habanero, cream cheese, sharp, mozzarella, goat
Your favorite vegetables, meat or fruit – Ham, turkey, spinach, olives, strawberries, tomatoes, basil
Bread – Again, choose your favorite type of bread

Place all of your ingredients on there an heat through on stovetop or use a panini maker.

Cut out a whole in the middle of the toast, break the egg in the middle of the whole and fry it up like your normally would. Fry up the bacon, crumble it up and sprinkle the bacon and your favorite breakfast toppings on top.

2 Slices of Bread
Directions
Spread peanut butter on both sides of bread. Place bananas and marshmallow spread on one side, the chocolate chips on the other. Melt everything together in a pan on panini press.

Of course, you don't have to put all of these items on your sandwich. Create a turkey and cranberry sauce sandwich with tomatoes and lettuce. You can also pair turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy on your sandwich. Get creative.
These sandwiches are truly out of the ordinary and should be tried on National Sandwich Day.
