I'm not a big fan of large cities as a rule, but I visited Fort Worth, Texas with some friends recently. They love the night life. They love to boogie. They apparently don't like me much because they dragged me to what seemed like every party in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area over the course of our three day visit. In their defense, well, more like "this cloud's silver lining is" that I learned a lot about what it takes to throw a fantastic party in Fort Worth and what's missing at the bad ones.
We went to one party in Fort Worth and I was amazed. It was like clubbing in someone's backyard. The hosts apparently invented the words "Fort Worth TX Party Rentals" because they were living it UP down there. They had every party supply under the sun that was even remotely pertinent to the theme of their party. They had food catered in, a disc jockey that was off the chain, and a lot of awesome people enjoying themselves.
It didn't come up with the host that night because they were complete strangers, but I realized at the next party just how important certain party rentals/supplies are. For instance, ever been to a party without a single piece of entertainment? Yeah…no. Bad idea, hosts and hostesses! Entertaining your guests is crucial which is why party rentals would've been right up there alley. Come on. Video games, a karaoke machine, something. I'm surprised we were at that one for more than 6 seconds. Oddly enough, it took only about 7 for us to leave.
Now I'm not what you would consider a party aficionado. I've been to my fair share of parties and weddings. I've helped with party and wedding rentals. I've helped string decorations and set out supplies. I've hosted about a dozen and a half. Okay, maybe I'm am a party aficionado. Either way, I definitely know what's entertaining and what is far from it. For that reason, I'm wholeheartedly urging hosts and hostesses not to make the same mistake. Fort Worth, Texas–go out and find awesome party rentals!
