Fall is a great time to get together with friends. The weather is changing and we start to trade out our flip flops and tank tops for boots and hoodies. Pumpkin spice takes over the world, and Halloween is right around the corner. The time for planning fall parties in now and one way to change up your grub game is to have a food bar.
Chili Bar
Fall brings the cool temperatures that we all love, which makes it the perfect time for a chili bar! There are many different ways to do your chili bar. You can make one style of chili or a few different kinds. Try having a mild traditional style chili, one with turkey instead of beef, and even white chicken chili! You could also go with different spice levels. The toppings are what really make the chili bar fun. Cheese, sour cream, different veggies, chips, and crackers…Really anything you can think of! You can also add hot dogs and baked potatoes to the bar for even more options.
Trail Mix Bar
A trail mix bar is a simple way to send guests home with a party favor they'll enjoy. This one won't be your main meal, but it will still be fun. The key to creating a great trail mix bar is giving guests plenty of options to choose from. Some people will want more salty snacks in their mix, while others will want sweet or a combination of the two. Nuts, seeds, chocolate, dried fruits and berries, popcorn, pretzels, and dry cereal are great for trail mixes. If any of your guests have a nut allergy, you will want to make sure to keep those separate, or possibly leave them out, just to be safe.
Coffee Bar
Iced, hot, black, cream and sugar? There's nothing quite like a great cup of coffee. That's why a coffee bar is a great addition to any coffee lover's fall party. Give guests a couple of different coffee blends to choose from, then help make all their coffee dreams come true with different flavors to add in, a variety of sweeteners, yummy toppings, and even fun stirring sticks, like candy canes or cinnamon sticks. Serve mini donuts, coffee cake, or cookies to go with the coffee.
S'mores Bar
S'mores are a campfire tradition. The sweet, sticky goodness of a s'more is hard to beat. The classic s'more is great, but you can make these treats even better by switching up the ingredients. Gather different flavors of cookies and graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallows. Try different flavor profiles and see if you can't find a new favorite.
