With Father's Day right around the corner, you can plan a family getaway to celebrate and honor your very special dad.
Not too many people take vacations for Father's Day, but it's never to late to start a new tradition! Instead of some funky slippers or a new tool box, here are some creative and fun destinations to spend the weekend together as a family.
1.) Orlando, FL: The theme park capital of the world. Orlando is extremely family friendly offering dozens of amusement parks and family resorts including Walt Disney World, Universal Studios and Sea World among many more.
2.) Arizona: A sight-seeing trip that will knock your socks off with amazingly beautiful scenery. You'll find Monument Valley, The Grand Canyon, Route 66 and a big family hit is house-boating on Lake Powell.
3.) Yellowstone National Park: With 2.2 million acres of eye-popping scenery including geysers, burbling mud holes, hot springs and loads of wildlife, this is a great place for a getaway. You'll find bison, bear and moose which are common local natives. A great place for hiking and camping.
4.) West Michigan: Not as well-known as the others, West Michigan has 3,200 miles of breathtaking beaches, stretching from the southern part of the state near Saugatuck up through Mackinaw and Traverse City. An amazing road trip with plenty of beaches, amusement parks and historical landmarks that the family will enjoy.
5.) Myrtle Beach, SC: This great destination is #2 in the US for tourism, after Florida. Myrtle Beach has 60 miles of beautiful ocean beaches with water parks, amusement parks and family entertainment throughout the area. You wont get bored here, with plenty to do for every age!
So take this day as a day to honor your dad and to treat the family to a getaway he wont forget!
