Crafty Christmas continues here at Wedding and Party Network and today we want to focus on that added touch to your dining room. The Christmas table setting. You may be having a holiday party, having Christmas dinner at your house or you may just want to add that finishing touch to complete your Christmas look in your home. Table settings can incorporate your holiday theme even more into your house and will give a lovely finish to your beautiful home.
There are many things to think about when creating that holiday table setting, so here are a few ideas on where to start.Holiday Color: First off, choose your colors. There are different colors, so mix and match whichever one your prefer best. Whether, it be red and green, blue and white, blue and gold, silver and red, pink and blue or gold and brown; it's your holiday.
Table Linens: When choosing your table linen, decide on your main color. A nice neutral would be nice and then you can accent it with your other holiday colors you've chosen. A beautiful gold, red or green would look beautiful on your table. Choose a table linen that can be easily accented with your other holiday colors.
Creative Centerpieces: As mentioned in our earlier Christmas centerpiece posts, there are endless possibilities for centerpieces. Whether you choose beautiful floral decor, candles or even fabric Christmas trees, there is something out there for everyone and every tablescape. Keep it simple or be extravagant, either can work.
Holiday Tableware: Of course, when deciding what to serve your tasty food on, you should choose tableware that goes perfectly with your whole table scheme. If you are doing a gold table linen, you should go with the accent color you have chosen to go along with it. A white table linen with silver plates sounds so elegant and sets the perfect tone for a white winter. Plates, glassware and serveware are just the perfect accent to finish off your table. You'll absolutely be able to find great holiday dinnerware in your local stores or gift shops.
However, skip out on buying plates and make your own! Decoupaging plates with fun Christmas stationery paper or wrapping paper will look absolutely divine. Plus, you can find the ideal paper to max your table setting exactly how you want it too. Not only can you decoupage glass plates, but also serving trays or your bowls.
These can serve as a great plate and to make it even better, a great holiday party favor. We have a quick how-to video on decoupaging plates using wrapping paper, which will look great on any Christmas table. So many plates, so many choices, how will you choose?
All these items combined make for a great holiday table setting. Pick your color scheme and just go with it. Your holiday table decor will look absolutely beautiful and put everything in the holiday spirit! Stay tuned for what we have in store for you tomorrow, as day 4 of our Crafty Christmas week continues!
