National Friendship Day takes place on the first Sunday each August. It is a day to celebrate friendships, new and old, and spend quality time with your besties. Even if you and your friends are far apart, there are still ways you can celebrate. Here are 5 Simple Ways to Celebrate National Friendship Day!
Picnic
Sometimes a simple picnic with your favorite people is all you need. Pack an easy lunch, send out those texts, and meet up at your local park (or somewhere more adventurous) to chow down.
GNO
Haven't been out of the house in a while? Have a girls' (or guys') night out! Put on your dancing shoes and head to the club, or relax at the movies. As long as you are enjoying time with your pals, it doesn't really matter what you do.
Send flowers
This is a simple way to show your friends some love, especially if you live apart. Order an arrangement of their favorite flowers and have them delivered.
Make a friendship bucket list (and do it together!)
Write down a list of places you want to see and things you'd like to do, then take the time to complete it! This one obviously won't get finished on National Friendship Day, but it's a great day to start the list!
Make a Mix Tape
This is a great one if you're celebrating a long distance friendship. Create a playlist, CD, or actual cassette tape of your favorite music to listen to when you're together and mail it to or share it with your bestie!
